À Rebours brings together significant works from Brassington’s exceptional 30-year career. Pat Brassington was one of the first Australian artists to recognise the potential of the digital format, and has used it to create an enormous body of work – images that are hauntingly beautiful, deeply psychological and sometimes disturbing.

The Australian Center for Photography acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present and future, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
