Jordan Madge | Irina Rozovsky | Daniel Shea | Stanley Wolukau-Wanambwa

Guest-curated by The Heavy Collective, this exhibition explores the intersection between documentary realism, fiction and question the nature of truth through compelling photographic work by Jordan Madge, Irina Rozovsky, Daniel Shea and Stanley Wolukau-Wanambwa

Shadows are cast by things and people gathers four photographers from Australia, Russia and the United States. Through their compelling photographic work Jordan Madge, Irina Rozovsky, Daniel Shea and Stanley Wolukau-Wanambwa explore the intersection between documentary realism, fiction and question the nature of truth.

Using a true crime story, a place or a time as source material, the narratives distil a much larger truth than the sum of facts. Through metaphor and allegory, this exhibition of new documentary work explores the poetic and political narratives of social identity, place and history.
