ACP is delighted to be participating in PHOTOFAIRS | Shanghai

was created to serve the growing demand for the collection of contemporary photography in China and across the Asia Pacific. The fair’s success since launching in 2014 has been key in driving the Chinese art market forward and positioning photography as the collectable medium of our generation.

Staged explores the relationship between photography and other art forms such as installation art, sculpture, video and painting. This curated initiative spotlights artists of particular relevance within the contemporary photography arena in the form of chapters placed throughout the fair space.

Australian Centre of Photography will be presenting emerging Australian artist Sara Oscar who will create a site-specific installation for the fair. Responding to the iconic ‘Sunbaker’ image by revered Australian photographer Max Dupain, Oscar’s large-scale wallpaper pushes the boundaries of the photographic medium and incorporates historical archive images along with digital collage and painting.
