The magic of the view camera

Large format cameras allow the photographer to finely control both perspective and planes of focus and to capture images of superb quality with unsurpassed detail.

In this specialist hands on course you will learn to control the look of your images in a way you never thought possible. Your tutor will demonstrate camera movements and perspective control through shifts and tilts; exposure calculation, light meters and depth of field; film loading and composition.

The course will concentrate on traditional techniques using film.

View cameras are used in a variety of fields, including architecture, portraiture and landscape photography.

Required: experience with film cameras. you are not required to bring a large format camera to this class

Places strictly limited, ACP Membership is required

* First and Second Intake: Each term lasts 10 weeks. Short 5-week courses run twice in each term, the second intake starting in week 6.
† A concession price is available to unemployed, pensioner and government issued seniors card holders or full–time students. Proof of entitlement must be shown during enrolment and may be requested prior to admission.
