This course deals with the techniques, aesthetics and business of photographing models, clothing and accessories. Through a stimulating combination of lectures, demonstrations, assignments and analysis, you will be encouraged to develop a personal style and approach to fashion photography. You will learn about planning a shoot and the choices you make, from selecting the model, make-up artist and assistant, to presenting the final output. The professional development component of the course covers markets and clients, promotion, agreements and contracts, understanding a brief, budgeting, and breaking into this highly competitive field.

Required: Lighting (or relevant experience), a digital or film SLR camera

* First and Second Intake: Each term lasts 10 weeks. Short 5-week courses run twice in each term, the second intake starting in week 6.
† A concession price is available to unemployed, pensioner and government issued seniors card holders or full–time students. Proof of entitlement must be shown during enrolment and may be requested prior to admission.
