Digital Composites
Specialist Course
This five week course with award winning photographer and digital artist, Alexia Sinclair, is aimed at developing students’ individual style as it relates to their own art practice. Students will work with their own photographs of locations, models, and props to create a digital composite. Alexia will discuss and demonstrate some of the montage techniques used in her fine art practice. The topics covered include pre-visualisation, planning, deep etching, producing depth of field, manipulating light and matching colour to produce a realistic composition ready for print. Alexia will also discuss colour profiles and printing. During this course each student will receive individual attention to complete their project.
Required: Camera Craft 2 and Photoshop (or relevant experience), an understanding of Masks and Selections, plus a digital SLR camera, digital files
