Black & White 1

Intermediate Course
10 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week

In this course you will learn how to print in B&W. A beginners' darkroom-intensive program through which you will learn how to process film, analyse your negatives, make contact proofs, select and print an image. You will also explore the basic rules of composition and an understanding of how to selectively control the tone and shade of your prints. The course includes an introduction to working with natural light and portable flash units.

Required: Camera Craft 1 (or relevant experience), a film SLR camera

* First and Second Intake: Each term lasts 10 weeks. Short 5-week courses run twice in each term, the second intake starting in week 6.
