Specialist Course
10 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week

The chief function of the city is to convert power into form, energy into culture, dead matter into living symbols of art. - Lewis Mumford

More than 85% of Australians live in cities. In this course you will learn how to photograph the buildings which make up our urban environment. The course will explore the history and aesthetics of photographing the built environment and the techniques required to master its representation. While you will only be required to own a 35mm or medium format camera, you will also be introduced to the use of a field camera to accurately record architecural constructions. You will develop awareness of how to exploit natural lighting conditions, structure your compositions and control the mood of your image.

Required: Camera Craft 2 (or relevant experience), a digital or film SLR camera

Places strictly limited, ACP Membership is required
