Afterlife - Create
Afterlife Course
Be inspired to create new bodies of work. This challenging creative development program is designed to take your work to the next level. Participants will gain new insights into their work with expert feedback from the program leader and high profile guest lecturers including exhibiting artists, curators and arts administrators. They will critique each other's work to a higher level and be inspired to build on existing projects and embark on new ones to create cohesive bodies of work. From this course participants can continue with the companion courses Submit and Exhibit. To be considered for this course you must have the beginnings of a series. Please contact the Workshop Office to arrange an interview. Program LeaderAnthony Amos is an inspiring photomedia artist and a highly accomplished editorial practitioner. Anthony has a strong background in traditional processes, having interned in New York with Fine Art B&W printer Paul Skeehan, and printing his own colour work since 1996. He has had successful exhibitions both in the US and Australia. Anthony uses pure photographic techniques, making rather than "taking" images, often building a work over weeks, months and even decades. His work ranges from the very small to the very large. "The question of colour or black and white is irrelevant." he says. "Nothing is sacred and the rules are way out the window." His editorial work has taken him to Melbourne, New York, Paris, London and back to Sydney. Early in his career he assisted top portrait and fashion photographers, such as Bruce Weber, David Seidner, George Holtz and Jonathon Becker. Anthony currently shoots editorial, interiors and travel for publications such as Vogue Living. See Also: www.anthonyamos.com.au
