ACP Workshop — Advanced

Advanced courses at the ACP build on the skills and experience acquired from ACP Intermediate courses and lead to specialist subjects. ACP Membership is optional for Camera Craft 3.

Demand is always intense and prospective students are advised to enroll in their chosen course well in advance of the published starting date. To ensure you and your fellow students get the best out of each class there are necessary prerequisite levels of skill. These are indicated in the course outlines. New members who already have basic skills should arrange an interview with a member of the ACP Workshop team for a portfolio review. Our trained staff will then be able to advise you on the course best suited to your current level of expertise.

This 3 week advanced course is for the person who is comfortable with their external speedlight but now wants to further expand their understanding of flash photography. (3 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $295.00/$265.00)

This advanced course develops student skills at a high level of proficiency and understanding for the advanced essentials of image editing in Photoshop. Beauty Retouching

In this weekend course your tutor, Scott McGale, will introduce beauty retouching techniques. Scott is an internationally awarded fashion and beauty photographer who has worked for Vogue, Marie Claire and Elle. (2 classes / 4 hours per class / Weekend)

Camera Craft 3

This course has been developed to provide intermediate students the opportunity to concentrate on refining their camera skills, while also exploring a variety of creative genres, including portraiture, photojournalism and documentary, architecture, landscape, still life, night and travel photography. (10 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $725.00/$650.00)


Colour Management

Colour Management

This workshop will help you make sense of the complexities of managing colour in your digital imaging. Learn how to establish and maintain a colour managed workflow across multiple platforms and devices. (3 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week)


Lighting

Lighting

Lighting is fundamental to photography. It defines form and texture, sets mood and can make or break a composition. The course gives a basic grounding in lighting techniques for both studio and location work. (10 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $725.00/$650.00)

ACP Membership is required for all courses* and access to the ACP Workshop facilities. Membership is valid for 1 year and entitles you to:
