You might be surprised how many photographers have something that they obsessively (and often covertly) document; sleeping lovers, discarded shopping trolleys, public bum cracks. Some of these collections span thousands of images and have been collected over decades. Captured, Collected, Categorised pays tribute to these overlooked and misunderstood taxonomies of Australian social ephemera.

Slide Nights at the ACP are an opportunity for emerging and established artists to submit bodies of work addressing a chosen theme. From the portfolios submitted, a selection of 10 finalists will be asked to present a 10 minute slideshow of their images at the ACP and to talk briefly about their project.

To submit your work for consideration, you will need to fill out the form below, provide a title and brief description of your work and attach 5 images from your series.

Submissions are due by Friday 4 June and applicants will be notified by email by Friday 11 June. Once finalists have been selected, they will need to prepare a 10 - 15 minute powerpoint of their final images and send it to the ACP by Monday 21 June. Submissions are encouraged from across Australia, however please note that we are unable to pay travel and accommodation costs for successful participants to attend the Slide Night on Thursday 1 July. If your proposal is successful but you are unable to attend we will make all efforts to ensure your work is well represented.
