As well as an enormous telephoto lens, sports photographers must have an understanding of the way the sporting industry works and the unique role it plays in our culture. In this panel we examine the heroes, the grudges, the misbehaving players and the nude calendars that make Australian sport so watchable.

Speakers include award winning sports photographers Phil Hillyard and Craig Golding; photographer Sandy Nicholson (2nd Place), and Dr Chris McAuliffe, cultural commentator and curator of the Ian Potter Museum of Art
