The darkroom is fitted out with black & white LPL enlargers, capable of working with negatives up to 6x7cm. A 4"x5" sheet-film enlarger is available, on request.

Black & white printing is wet-tray and caters for prints up to 16”x20” in size. Film processing is available for black & white, in 35mm and medium formats. Chemistry is supplied for all darkroom facilities.

Members are required to supply their own photographic paper and accessories, such as scissors, negative sleeves, and blower brushes. Many of these items are available for purchase from the Creative Learning reception, as well as colour and black and white film.

Time can be paid for by the hour or purchased in packages which offer bulk-rate discounts. Bulk rates are paid in advance and are non-transferable and non-refundable.

ACP Membership

ACP ACP Membership is required for all courses* and access to the ACP Creative Learning facilities. Membership is valid for 1 year, costs $50 and entitles you to:

  • Regular mailouts about ACP exhibitions and events
  • 10% discounts on all ACP catalogues and publications
  • Discounts at selected photographic stores and labs
  • Free use of the ACP research library

* ACP Membership is required for access to the facilities and for all courses except Camera Craft I, II, III and Digital Camera Basics, where it is optional.
ACP Premium Membership is required to participate in the Afterlife program.
