ACP Creative Learning — The Enthusiast

Love to take photographs? Then these are the perfect courses for you.

The Enthusiast level enables you to learn how to make the most of your Digital or Film SLR camera. First you will learn how to photograph in manual mode enabling you to have full creative control of all your photographs. Courses then build on this knowledge base and teach you about composition mood and colour, opening up a world of creative possibilities. Courses in this area provide you with the foundation skills to then focus your practice towards digital, studio or darkroom based learning.

Introduction to the DSLR Just bought a digital SLR camera and want to know how to get the best results? This is introductory course on how to use and get the best out of your camera. (4 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $330.00/$300.00)

Black & White: Print The print is the culmination of the darkroom process. In this beginners' short course you will be introduced to the various techniques of darkroom wet printing. (6 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $515.00/$470.00)

Creative Darkroom In this hands-on five week specialist class, you will be introduced to pinhole photography and paper negatives, as well as alternative darkroom processes such as Lith printing, Solarisation, Photogram’s and hand colouring. (5 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $450.00/$410.00)

It’s an endless open interpretation in our modern world. So would you like to be drawn into investigating a project that takes these parts of your family life through the eye of a lens? Camera Craft 1 Want to be Creative with your camera? Only using the automatic mode or want to gain a full understanding of your camera. This course is about learning to use your SLR camera with confidence, skill and gaining the creative edge. (5 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $430.00/$390.00)

Camera Craft 2 Building on Camera Craft 1, this course will teach you how to make better pictures. You will discover new skills including the creative use of filters, alternative processing of film, and working with light. (5 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $430.00/$390.00)

Camera Craft 3 This course has been developed to provide intermediate students the opportunity to concentrate on refining their camera skills, while also exploring a variety of creative genres, including portraiture, photojournalism and documentary, architecture, landscape, still life, night and travel photography. (10 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $730.00/$655.00)

Camera Raw Why Shoot RAW? Discover the answer to this question and unlock the full potential of your digital SLR by learning the non-destructive image editing techniques possible in Adobe's Camera Raw. (5 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $430.00/$390.00)

Lightroom This 5 week course will teach you all aspects of working with Adobe's economical yet powerful Lightroom program. Using Lightroom efficiently will enable you to spend more time behind the camera. (5 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week, $430.00/$390.00)
