This symposium and concepts based workshop starts at the beginning.
Delve into the style, history and techniques of both classic and contemporary portraiture with award winning portrait artist Kelly-Ann Denton. This lecture based workshop will focus on the concepts & successes of all genre's including the nude, self-portrait, environmental, and documentary portraiture.
In this ten week course, Kelly-Ann will take you through the background behind great movements in portrait photography and introduce you to the critical concepts prolific to both international & Australian portrait photography. You will gain in depth and context, as you learn and discuss the different philosophies of what makes a powerful contemporary portrait, with emphasis on developing your own work to a critical level.
During this course will develop a signature series of your own, taking your conceptual base to the next level & making your images count. This course will develop your approach and style, you’re be informed by history’s greats every time you step behind the lens.
This course is ideal for those who have a firm understanding of the principles of photography want to develop a contextual, conceptual and theoretical platform to grow from, or anyone interested in gaining a knowledge bank in art photography.
Required: Camera Craft 1 and Camera Craft 2 (or relevant experience), slr or dslr camera.
