Beginners' Flash


4 classes / 3 hours per class / 1 class per week

The portable flash is one of the photographers most versatile tools, this course is for anyone who wants to better understand their flash units, gain confidence and the technical skills to know how to use flash under a range of different lighting conditions. This course will teach you to achieve amazing results from simple techniques like bouncing, diffusing or focusing the light, using controlled fill-flash, dragging the shutter and using high-speed sync.

Saturday classes will include one Thursday night class.

Please note:

A full schedule will be emailed to you prior to the course commencement date.

This course will have an emphasis on the practical hands-on approach to Beginners' Flash.

Required: Camera Craft 2 (or relevant experience), a digital or film SLR camera, with an external speed light flash.

Places strictly limited, ACP Membership is required

* First and Second Intake: Each term lasts 10 weeks. Short 5-week courses run twice in each term, the second intake starting in week 6.
† A concession price is available to unemployed, pensioner and government issued seniors card holders or full–time students. Proof of entitlement must be shown during enrolment and may be requested prior to admission.
